Welcome!!

Hey guys this is where all my info will be this summer. You can check out what will be happening this summer from the field. Also, you will have the unique experience of looking into the future (or a steady 13 hrs prior to what will be going down in BR) since my timezone will be 13 hours ahead.

Mitchell, I am so proud of you for what you are doing this summer. I have known that God was preparing you for something very special for a long time. This is part of it.

Your dad talked to me this morning and he is already missing you. I guess I will have to go to Baton Rouge soon to cheer him up or something.

Mitch -

By the time you read this, you will be in sunny ______________. We all know where it is, but I guess we gotta keep that under wraps?! I hope this summer is the trip you will forever remember and tell stories from and that you and Matt will experience some amazing things. Please be careful and know we all miss you and are praying for you.

One thing I thought about earlier about you being gone so long: By the time you get back it will only be about 2 weeks til TIGER FOOTBALL!!!!!! Sah-WEET!

Love you my brother. Be safe.

Hey Mitch! This is your two favorite sisters!!!! Haha! Man...we are so proud of you. We were cleaning out my (Lindz's) bathroom, and we found your yearbook pic. from 9th grade. Haha. Why in the world was it in my bathroom among all the junk...I mean, stuff? We got a good laugh out of it and decided we miss you already. But, we know God has amazing things in store for you over there. Man, tell Matthew hello, too. We love y'all both! Love, Lindz and LB

Hey Mitchell,

So glad to hear you and Matt are getting over the jet-lag. I know you are pumped and excited to be touring the town today, or should I say ..."yesterday?"

I love you and want you and Matt to know that I am praying for you as Paul told us to..."without ceasing."

Your mom said that you heard the villagers chanting to their god. We need Christians here in America, so in love with the Lord that they would cry out in praise of the one true God! What's it going to take for Christians to get serious about serving God?

Mitch-

I am glad you made the trip without incident. Having done as much as a 10 hour time change, I know that jet lag is real.

I have placed you on 2 prayer lists at my church that operate on a 24/7 basis. You and Matt are covered by prayer on a continous basis.

Please know that I love you so much, not because your dad is my best friend, because you are my friend too.

You are in my personal daily prayers too.

Mitch,

It's a sunny pretty, PINK LADY kind of day here. Haha. Well, I only have one more day at LSVI! :( Sad how life moves on...but it must! I wanted to share a poem with you that my student wrote to me yesterday: (I know you'll get a kick out of it!)

Title: I Hope When YOu

I miss u already
And you not even gone

I hope when u see me
Yo head ain't like a stone

I hope when you walk a mile
You would walk it with Mr. Kyle

And when you do the Cupid Shuffle
You do it careful

And when you Pop Lock and Drop It
You would neva eva stop it.

Ha--I knew you would like it.

Love you tons. I'm going to write a poem like that for you and Matt. Just wait...

You're already sounding like as international traveler. Enjoyed your observations about those worshipers over there in contrast with how our relationship with our God ought to be. Awesome thoughts, man. We love you and what you're doing for Jesus.
