Sorry to hear about your sunburn. I hope it is getting better. If I remember my geography, the sun's angle is more direct in _________ than it is here.
You may not know, but my lab work last week indicates that my cancer may have returned. I will have additional tests nest week. Please remember me in your prayers.
Your dad came up to see me yesterday (Thursday). He always knows when I need him. I could never find a better friend. He is sitting in his leather recliner eating Fritos as I write this.
Keep up your great work. God is using you in a mighty way in a distant land.

Thanks for calling this morning.
Hearing from you really made my Father's Day celebration complete. Glad your sunburn is getting better.
I'm sure you've probably heard that Lindsay and Kyle have a new addition to their family - a black, 8 week old 1/2 Labrador and 1/2 Retreiver. I think her name is Jalepeno Sylvio. Lindsay says they will call the pup "Hally." Cute pup. Bandit thought she looked delicious! Actually, I think Hally was supposed to be a Father's Day gift to me, but Lindsay and Kyle fell in love with Hally and they decided to keep her.
We missed you incredbily today, as we do every day, but especially on Sundays.

I just wanted you to know that you are the proud uncle of a cute little puppy. :) Haha. She really is so cute. She did not wake me up one time last night--my kind of pup. Anyway, Dad seems to be quite the proud grandfather.
We really did miss you lots yesterday. Of course I didn't take part in Fernando's. You're welcome. Well, just wanted to say hello. Hope to hear from you soon. Love you so much!
P.S. I'm sharing one of your posts with my Sunday School class because it's exactly what we talked about yesterday.

Just thougt you would like an update from the "White House".
Mike and the kids survived World Changers last week. I know the kids had a great time and are excited about the next adventure to "granny and pappy's" next week.
I know you will be happy to hear that Mike really enjoyed World Changers and is ready to go back. In fact he wants to go to PHAT camp too. What a hoot!
He and I want you to know that we love you and are still praying for you and hope you are having a great time. We are very proud of you and know that the people in ______ are truly blessed to have you and Matt there.
